NDIS Approved Services

Let’s dive into some more of the latest changes with the new NDIS legislation—it’s definitely a mixed bag!

So, first up, dating and relationship services are still not on the list. Without a clear definition, this could be a real challenge for folks with intellectual or cognitive disabilities who need extra support in those areas.

Next, conference fees are now off the table. This means that disability-focused educational events might need to rebrand themselves as “training events.” Talk about a name change!

As for coaching services—life coaches, career coaches, gaming therapy, and cultural coaches are still out. If you want to claim these, they might have to be categorized as community support work instead.

And after-school care, au pairs, and holiday programs are also on the outlist.

Oh, and here’s a puzzler: postal services are excluded too! How are people supposed to claim delivery for their assistive tech if it’s not included?
