NDIS Plan Implementation Meeting
What Can I Expect!
Today, let’s discuss your Implementation Meeting.
After your plan is approved, an NDIS Contact should reach out to schedule a meeting to help you understand how to use your plan effectively. This will usually be a Local Area Coordinator or it could be an NDIA planner.
Before the meeting, you may like to consider bringing someone you trust—like a family member or friend or even a Support Coordinator, if you have one.
These meetings are an opportunity to answer any questions you have about your plan.
It’s also wise to confirm that the NDIA have your bank details if you are receiving transport funding into your bank account…or if you’re self-managing.
Jot down any questions or concerns you might have before the meeting.
During the meeting, the NDIA Contact can cover essential topics, including:
• The myplace portal
• What you can purchase with your funding
• Supports which are outside the NDIS
• Tips for finding service providers and,
• Service agreements and bookings
This is a fantastic opportunity to maximize your NDIS experience. Make sure you ask how to get back in contact with them again if this is an option, and don’t be afraid to keep asking questions!
