NDIS Reasonable and Necessary

Let’s chat about the new changes to the reasonable and necessary criteria.

To get funding, all supports need to meet this criteria. But guess what? There are a couple of changes to the reasonable and necessary  criteria that you should know about!

Here’s What’s Changed:

1. The NDIA has a new focus on disability and will now only fund supports that are directly related to your registered disability, also known as your impairment.

2. NDIS supports now have a new definition and include specific services, items, and equipment based on these latest definitions.

So, what does this mean for you?

Your supports need to connect to the impairments that qualify you as well as be value for money, and make a positive difference in your life. Plus, make sure each support is classified as an NDIS support by using the new definitions of what is an NDIS support.

The NDIA will be advising you of your recognised impairments soon but if you want to know now, why not give them a call?
