NDIS Self Managed Plans

Let’s talk about managing your plan funds. If you want to continue your funding as self managed or plan managed, then you need to understand what things the NDIS consider in deciding if they over-ride your decision in this area.

The NDIA considers a few things when deciding how your funds are managed including:

Are you spending funds on approved NDIS supports?

Is the rate of expenditure in line with your plan?

Is there any unreasonable risk with the way funds are being utilised such as conflict of interest issues?

If risks pop up, the NDIA delegate may consider that self-management or even using a plan manager might not be on the cards. 

And just a heads up: If you or your nominee have a criminal conviction 

with more than 2 years in prison or fraud/dishonesty, your funds will be Agency-managed. This applies to new and reassessed plans.
